Our Partnerships Head, Tebogo Kopane, has been selected as a #YouthxPolicyMakers ambassador for the Youth Internet Governance forum. After 1700 global applications from 84 countries, only 60 candidates were chosen to participate in the Digital policy youth engagement program.
"I am looking forward to further engaging with global experts on policy matters relating digital policy, meaningful access & governance."
Youth Internet Governance Forum
Youth IGF Poland is an initiative created to bring further the discussion about the Internet Governance key topics and to encourage young people to get actively involved, both on regional and international level.
"Young people under the age of 30 are the largest demographic group on the Internet, yet they are still underrepresented at the Internet Governance Forum, and in decision-making on digital agendas."
Youth IGF Poland believes that young people have a high knowledge of the digital world they interact with daily and therefore deserve to play a stronger role in decision making, and policy processes regarding the Internet.
