Another Successful Career day!

In October we hosted a successful Career Exposure Day at Olievenhoutbosch Secondary School in partnership with Mihandzu Learning.

We had two phenomenal speakers on the day, Tebogo Mphahlele - the founder of Lead Young SA Foundation and Women Network Africa, and Bongani Frank Masilela - a learning designer and developer.

Tebogo spoke on having a positive mindset of 'I Can' no matter your background, and Bongani touched on the growing need of what was previously considered 'unconventional' due to the direction of tech and innovation taking over the world.

We had a total of 32 mentors, 80 learners present and 27 careers represented. The mentors shared their academic and career journeys with the learners and facilitated the YAT Career 30-Seconds Game session which was packed with lots of fun and exposure to even more careers.

With so many careers present, there was an opportunity to network and build relationships amongst the mentors thereby bringing more value to such an event.

This day would not have been possible without all our partners, mentors and supporters - a big thank you goes out to you! Visit our Mentor Network page to connect with those you met on the day.
